Last night went well and we got a lot of nice stuff. We thought we’d gotten about 12 lbs of chicken breasts, as well, only to find when we got back to the house that they smelled terrible. We found a couple of nice pesto, mozzarella and prosciutto sandwiches on baguettes and ate them that night. Between us we found a total of six pies, around fifteen or twenty boxed salads, maybe a dozen packages of chicken and tuna salad. This is what I took home:

  • Sprouts: pea shoots, alfalfa, and mixed
  • Watercress
  • 4 salads: Salmon Nicoise, turkey Cobb, Greek, and spiced walnut and goat cheese
  • 5 apples
  • 4 lemons
  • 3 onions; 2 red 1 yellow
  • A horned melon (kiwano) (I had always wanted to try one and found that the fruit was essentially flavorless)
  • Dried chili mango (one of my favorite things)
  • Several snack-sized portions of raw almonds
  • 2 fruit and nut bars
  • Liquid egg whites
  • Several pastries (crossaints, turnovers)
  • 1 pumpernickel bagel
  • Brioche buns
  • Flax lavash
  • Small wheat pita
  • Rolls
  • Small pecan pie
  • Frozen large mixed berry tart
  • Large sweet and sour cherry pie (I didn’t like it, so I wound up throwing it out)
  • Potato chips
  • Sweet plantain chips
  • Garlic dip
  • Caramelized onion dip
  • Kalamata olive hummus
  • English breakfast tea (whole box)
  • Herbal sleep tea (half box)
  • Earl grey (1 bag)
  • Mixed nut butter
  • Small peach, mango and banana yogurt cups
  • Amba (mango sauce)
  • Mozzarella, Gruyere, Irish cheddar, shaved Parmesan, grated Monterrey Jack, ghost pepper cheddar
  • Sliced pepperoni
  • Tofu
  • Tempeh
  • Wonton wrappers
  • Cayenne kombucha
  • Chili seasoning
  • A small grinder half full of organic black pepper
  • A few pieces of pistachio chocolate toffee bark (also one of my favorite things)
  • A wooden display basket
  • A small flowering plant
