With the truck running again, we were able to go out dumpstering this week. Here’s a rundown of what I took home:

  • 24 oz whole milk basket ricotta
  • red wax Gouda
  • pastrami style smoked salmon
  • 6 plain bagels
  • chicken breast
  • 2 lbs ground turkey
  • mahi mahi filets
  • tandoori naan
  • cinnamon sugar butter
  • blue cheese mustard
  • 6 yellow potatoes
  • grinder of Himalayan pink salt
  • almond milk
  • almond egg nog
  • 2 lemons
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 cipollini onion
  • 2 small bags of ginger root
  • broccoli slaw
  • Southwestern bagged salad mix
  • can of chickpeas
  • beet fusili
  • 1 lb basmati rice
  • about 3/4 a bag of roasted almonds
  • 1 lb sunflower seeds
  • 1 lb sour cherry and pineapple trail mix
  • sesame sticks
  • Italian wedding soup
  • small red potato salad
  • 3 bananas
  • 3 apple juice boxes
  • a decorative holiday flower arrangement
  • a tiny potted Christmas tree covered in glitter

Two weeks ago we found a small vase that a child had painted and dedicated to someone named Ms. Rubin, and set it aside next to the trash. This week I noticed the vase sitting in a planter in front of the store. Someone else must have also thought it was cute.
