Tonight brought the most stuff I’ve managed to get home by myself without my friend and his truck. Of course I prefer going with him but it does feel good to know I can handle finding and carrying all this stuff on my own. Normally it seems like the dumpsters are empty when I show up alone but there were plenty of surprises left for me: I filled two tote bags and left knowing I couldn’t possibly carry any more. Here’s what I got:

- Half gallon of whole milk, unopened
- Quart of buttermilk
- 11 small lemons
- 6 mandarin oranges
- 2 Meyer lemons
- a green bell pepper
- 2 bulbs of fennel
- some loose grape tomatoes in a Ziploc bag
- corn and quinoa salad
- half a box of oyster crackers
- a frozen ginger cake
- a big log of chevre
- a jar of Amarena cherries
- half a jar of tahini
- roasted garlic hummus
- crunchy unsalted peanut butter
- chia seeds
- crunchy mochi snacks
- some cheese sticks
- frozen mac and cheese
- sliced roast beef
- frozen large pigs in a blanket
- frozen turkey burgers
- frozen turkey and stuffing en croute (looks like it’s already been baked, partially eaten, then put back in the box)
- tea tree oil shampoo
- bouquet with sunflowers and Gerber daisies
I’m pretty happy to have some milk (I’ll probably need to freeze some of it) and tahini again, as well as a number of nice snacks!
